Jillian Spencer

Jillian Spencer is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who became concerned about the “affirmation principle” associated with gender transition clinics at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. This principle involves accepting and furthering the child’s transition wishes no matter what other issues are apparent.

Jillian has more than 16 years of experience in Child’s Psychiatry and has three children of her own. Despite her expertise, in April 2023, following complaints, Jillian was stood down from her position because of her stance and remains on administrative leave. Significantly, she has refused to resign.
