Wesley Aird


Wesley is from the Gold Coast Aboriginal community and has an extensive career as a specialist advisor in Indigenous affairs. He has worked in Indigenous affairs for over 25 years following ten years in the Army during which he was the first Indigenous graduate from the Royal Military College, Duntroon.

His experiences in native title are his inspiration for honesty in cultural identification, and his experiences in the resources sector impressed on him the life-changing benefits of education, training and employment.

He works with the team at Centre for Indigenous Training to present a robust picture of Indigenous Australia, using statistics, policies, legislation, and cultural knowledge. You can find him sharing his knowledge and insights on the CIT YouTube channel.
