Question for Panellists: Nuclear Subs v Nuclear on Land

The debate on nuclear powered electricity is often kicked down the road as it is "too hard" for the Australian public and yet the announcement of the AUKUS nuclear power sub fleet for Australia seemed to be accepted almost overnight and with little fuss. Yet nuclear power subs in our harbours and shipping channels can arguably be seen as more or a safety challenge than a power station built on solid ground.
